Media Acceleration Live Broadcast delivers live video through the CDNetworks content delivery network (CDN). Broadcasters can push streams to CDNetworks, or CDNetworks can pull streams from your origin. CDN edge servers then deliver the streams to viewers.

Use the CDNetworks console to manage ingest and delivery domains, configure origin connections and access controls, and monitor your live streaming service.

How live streaming works

Stage Description
Stream source A broadcaster, encoder, or origin server provides the live stream.
Ingest or origin pull CDNetworks receives a pushed stream through an ingest domain or retrieves it from your configured origin.
CDN delivery CDN edge servers distribute the stream to viewers.
Playback Viewers request the stream through a delivery domain using a compatible player.

Supported streaming protocols include RTMP, HTTP-FLV, and HLS. Available protocols depend on the domain role, stream ingest mode, and domain settings.
