Configuration Guide

This document describes how to configure your Anti-hijacking solution and check their protection status.

1.Configure Policy

Solution 1 - IP for Anti-hijacking

  1. Go to Anti-hijacking IP:
    • Log in to the CDNetworks Console, find the security product in use under Subscribed Products.
    • Go to Security part, Gaming Shield > Anti-hijacking IP.
  2. Click Create to add Anti-hijacking IP. Or click Edit to modify the configuration.
  3. On the Add/Modify page, configure the following parameters:
Parameter Description
User access area
Select the end users access area. Note: The areas include Mainland China and Global, please add two entries if your end users come from both of them. 
Anti-hijacking IP
Select the purchased IP address as the end users entry point to access the service.  
Related business hostname
Select the alternate domain name of your origin service.
  1. Click Publish.

Solution 2 - Domain Name for Anti-hijacking

  1. Go to Anti-hijacking Hostname:
    • Log in to the CDNetworks Console, find the security product in use under Subscribed Products.
    • Go to Security part, Gaming Shield > Anti-hijacking Hostname.
  2. Click Create to add Anti-hijacking Hostname. Or click Edit to modify the configuration.
  3. On the Add/Modify page, configure the following parameters:
Parameter Description
User access area
Select the end users access area. Note: The areas include Mainland China and Global, please add two entries if your end users come from both of them.
Anti-hijacking Hostname
Create the Top-level domain name as the entry point to access the service. 
Access Port
Enter a single port, the range is 1-65535. Default is 80.
Redirect Options  Select a method of redirecting requests to origin server. Solution 2 is Redirect Hostname. Solution 3 is Redirect IP. 
Redirect Select the alternate domain name of your origin service. Note: This solution only supports HTTP. 
  1. Click Publish.

Solution 3 - IP & Domain Name for Anti-hijacking

  1. Create Anti-hijacking IP on the Anti-hijacking IP page.
  2. Add Anti-hijacking Domain on the Anti-hijacking Hostname page. For the Redirect Options, select Redirect IP. Then select Anti-hijacking IP you created.
  3. Click Publish.

2. View policy

For the Solution 1, On the Anti-hijacking IP page, you can select Status, User access area, and type Anti-hijacking IP, Related business hostname (support fuzzy queries) as filters to query the policies.

For the Solution 2&3, On the Anti-hijacking Hostname page, you can select Status, Redirect Option, and type Anti-hijacking IP, Redirect as filters to query the polices.

Status refers to the policy delivery status:

  • Effective: The policy is taking effect.
  • Processing: The policy is delivering and deploying.
  • Deployment Exception: Policy deployment failed, please contact support team.
