Build A Custom Image

operations Scenario

The user makes a custom image for an instance that has already been configured for business (such as installing software, deploying application environments, etc.), and then uses the custom image to create an instance, saving repeated configuration time.

Prerequisite

1. Complete the business configuration on the instance that needs to be made into an image.

2. Before creating an image , it is suggestion to use a security scanning script on the instance to perform a security scan. Download the security scan tool.

3. The creation of an image will shut down the template instance. Please do not operate the instance during the creation process to avoid image creation failure.

Operations Steps

1. Log in to the Edge Cloud Host console.

2. On the left navigation bar, click [Image Management].

3. Click [Build Image] to enter the Image Building page.

4. Complete the image information configuration:

• Enter the image name
• Select a template instance
• Enter the image description
  

5. Click【Create】 to Start mirror image production. After the creation is complete, you can view the created image on the Definition Image tab.
