Batch Edit Origin

Batch Modify origin allows for the bulk modification of both basic and advanced origin configurations.

How to Perform a Batch Origin Switch

1. Log in to the CDNetworks Console and select the appropriate product.
2. Navigate to the Configuration, select multiple domains, and click Batch Edit Origin.

Batch Edit Origin
Supports modifying either basic or advanced origin configurations, as well as modifying both simultaneously.

If both “Batch Edit Origin” and “Batch Edit Advanced Origin” are selected, the configurations for both basic and advanced origins will be modified.

Origin Type
Batch edit Custom Origin or Object Storage, details can be found in Set origins.

Batch Edit Host Header and Port
Batch modify HOST Header and Port, details can be found in Set origins.

Advanced Origin
To batch disable advanced origins, turn off the advanced origin switch.
To configure advanced origins in bulk, turn on the advanced origin switch, then click Add to configure advanced origins, details can be found in Set origins.

Origin Availability Test

Since Batch Edit Origin is a high-risk configuration, please ensure the availability of the origin server before deployment. Click Origin Availability Test, enter a test URL, then click Test to verify the availability of the origin server.

After you have completed setting the configurations, please click OK and then select Next to submit your settings. To minimize any potential disruptions to your production environment, we strongly recommend conducting a Pre-deploy test in a staging environment. This crucial step ensures that your configurations are accurate before they go live. Once you have verified the accuracy of the settings, click Deploy Now to implement them in the live environment. The configurations typically become effective within 3-5 minutes. Notes

There are two modes for advanced origins (Smart Routing and Weighted Round-Robin). If the advanced origin modes of the selected multiple domains are inconsistent during the batch editing, batch configuration is not possible. Please configure for individual domain or contact CDNetworks technical support.
