CDNetworks provides comprehensive usage statistics, allowing users to view details such as storage usage, upload traffic, and origin bandwidth consumption, etc.
Accessing Usage Statistics
Follow these steps to view usage statistics in the CDNetworks Console:
- Log in to the CDNetworks Console and select Object Storage Service.
- On the Object Storage service page, locate Audit and click Statistics Analysis.
- Select Basic Data.
- Specify the Area and Bucket or Time Range for the statistics you want to query.
Basic Statistics
In object storage systems, statistical analysis provides multi-dimensional data metrics to help users optimize their storage usage and management.
-
Storage Usage:
Displays the amount of space currently used in object storage.
- Storage Charts: Shows hourly storage usage by storage type (Standard, Infrequent Access, Archive).
- Data Overview: Presents daily aggregated values; storage amounts are summed hourly for each bucket, and the peak hour’s value is used as the daily storage usage.
-
Requests:
Records the number of access requests to storage resources, categorized into:
- Read Requests: Operations involving data retrieval (e.g., file downloads/viewing) including GET and HEAD requests.
- Write Requests: Operations involving data modification (e.g., file uploads/updates) including POST, PUT, and DELETE requests.
-
Traffic Usage:
Tracks and analyzes different types of data traffic:
- Internet Outbound Traffic: Data sent from object storage to external networks, representing downloads via non-CDNetworks CDN or IP addresses.
- CDN Origin Traffic: Traffic generated by file downloads via CDNetworks CDN.
- Internet Inbound Traffic: Traffic generated when uploading files to object storage through public networks using non-CDNetworks CDNs or non-CDNetworks IPs.
- Cross-Region Replication Traffic: Outbound traffic from primary-backup cross-origin replication – specifically, the traffic generated during file synchronization by cross-region replication tasks.
- Intranet Inbound Traffic: Traffic generated by uploads via CDNetworks internal network IPs.
- Intranet Outbound Traffic: Traffic generated by downloads via CDNetworks internal network IPs.
-
Bandwidth:
Monitors bandwidth consumption across different usage scenarios, with data collected every 5 minutes, including:
- Internet Outbound Bandwidth: Bandwidth used for downloads via non-CDNetworks CDN or IP addresses, based on 5-minute egress traffic.
- CDN Origin Bandwidth: Bandwidth for downloads via CDNetworks CDN, derived from 5-minute CDN back-to-origin traffic.
- Cross-Region Replication Bandwidth: Outbound bandwidth for cross-region replication tasks, calculated from 5-minute cross-region traffic.
- Intranet Outbound Bandwidth: Bandwidth used for downloads via CDNetworks internal IP addresses.
-
Data Delete:
Tracks and analyzes data deletion operations in storage, including:
- Infrequent Access Delete: Records traffic generated by successfully deleting files stored as Infrequent Access with a retention period of less than 30 days.
- Archive Data Delete: Records traffic generated by successfully deleting files stored as Archive with a retention period of less than 60 days.
-
Data Restore:
Tracks the frequency and volume of data retrieval from low-frequency access and archival storage, providing insights into retrieval frequency and efficiency.
- Infrequent Access Restore:Accessing Infrequent Access storage files will generate Infrequent Access restore traffic.
- Archive Restore:Restoring Archive storage files will generate Archive restore traffic.
-
File Processing:
Tracks usage of file processing services, including analysis based on total output duration or number of processing tasks. These data provide insight into workload and performance consumption.
- File Compression:Successful compression operations are counted as file processing events based on the number of files compressed.
- File Decompression:Successful decompression operations are counted as file processing events based on the number of files extracted.
Detection Statistics
- Within object storage statistical analysis, Detection Statistics involves scanning and analyzing stored content to ensure compliance with local regulations or company policies.
