Application Names and Delivery Protocols

Last update:2026-07-02 17:32:16

Application names define secondary paths in the stream URL so different services can share the same domain. Delivery protocol settings control which playback protocols are enabled for stream delivery on a delivery domain.

This guide describes how to configure these settings.

Before you begin

  • You have access to Media Acceleration Live Broadcast > Configuration in the CDNetworks console.
  • You know whether the domain role is Ingest or Delivery.
  • To configure Delivery Protocols, use a Delivery domain. Ingest domains do not show delivery protocol output settings.

Configure Application Names

Configure application names when you need to allow only ingest and delivery requests that match specific secondary paths in the stream URL.

  1. Go to Media Acceleration Live Broadcast > Configuration.

  4. In the configuration navigation, choose Live Streaming Features > Application Names.
