The IP/Geo Block is used to intercept requests from specific client IP or geographic locations. It is typically used in the following scenarios:
- If you are certain that you will not operate in a specific country/region, you can block all traffic from that country/region.
- Intercept requests from specific IPs or IP ranges, such as certain IPs or IP ranges that frequently initiate illegal requests to the website.
To configure IP/Geo Block:
- Log in to the CDNetworks Console, find the security product in use under Subscribed Products.
- Go to Security part, Configurations > Policies.
- Find the hostname for which you want to configure security policies, click .
- Go to IP/Geo Block tab. If this policy is off, turn it on.
Block requests from specific IP/CIDR
- Enter the IP/CIDR under the IP Block tab, separate multiple IPs/CIDR with a semicolon. Up to 500 IPs/IP ranges can be configured, supporting both IPv4 and IPv6. For example, 192.168.1.0/24;2001:3CA1:10F:1A:121B:0:0:12
- Click Publish Changes to make the configuration take effect.
Block requests from specific countries/areas
- Select the countries/areas you want to block under the Geo Block tab.
- Click Publish Changes to make the configuration take effect.
