This document guides you how to create an Edge cloud host instance.

prerequisite

Before using the console to create an instance, please complete the following tasks:

  • To open a Wangsu Platform user account and Edge cloud host Product permissions, you can contact the business manager to open it for you.

operations steps

1. Log in to the Edge cloud host console, select [Instance Management] in the left navigation bar, and then click [Create] to enter the instance creation page.

2. Follow the Tips to complete the configuration related to the instance.

  • Instance Specification: Select the required Instance Specification. Different Instance Specification correspond to different vCPU code and RAM sizes.

    Storage:After selecting the Instance Specification, we will Recommend the size and Type of the system disk and data disk for you. You can adjust the disk size and Type according to the business needs of the instance.

    Image:Supports public images of commonly used Operating system, as well as Customer Definition images.

  • Business group settings (optional)
    Business Group: Choose the business group to which the instance belongs. Instances can be managed based on deployed service types. Instances with the same configuration and image can be added to the same business group. If no business group is needed, skip this step.

  • Network Information
    Select whether the instance needs an intranet network. The default is no. If you choose yes, the platform will assign an intranet IP automatically, enabling communication between instances on the same node.

  • Management Information
    Instance Name: User- Definition setting Instance Name. Requirements for an Instance Name: 2 to 123 characters, Starts with a capital or lowercase letter, and may contain numbers, dots (.), underscores (_), or hyphens (-). Create multiple instances at the same time, and the Instance Name will automatically add 4-digit suffix numbers, and the suffix numbers will increase.

    User Name: is root by Default and cannot be modify.

    Password: User- Definition Password. Password complexity requirements: 8~30 characters, including at least three of the following four items: uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters).

    Instance Description: Optional, set the Description of the instance.

3. Click [Next].

4. Instance distribution

  • add Node
    Region:Filter PoP according to the Region you checked.

    ISP:Filter PoP according to the ISP line you checked.

    IPv6:Screen out PoP that support IPv6 .

    Whether to assign an IPv6 address: If checked, in addition to the Default assignment of a public network IPv4 address, an IPv6 address will be automatically assigned to the instance.

    Select Node: Select the target nodes to create the instance, confirm and submit.

  • Amount of Instances: Fill in the Amount of instances you need as needed.

  • Random IP: If IP object are insufficient, continuous IPs may be allocated.

5. Click [Next] to confirm the instance information. You can also click [Previous] to Back and Modify configurations .

6. After clicking [Submit], the instance creation Start . You can view the instance creation Progress and instance details in the instance management on the left navigation bar.
