With this configuration, there are two functions for Origin Protection
For these features, you should ask the prerequisite configuration (automatic selecting condition to other origin servers) of Origin Protection : contact your sales / technical support of CDNetworks.

**• Introduction
**This function is to configure the rule of automatic origin failover to effectively lower the ratio of back-to-origin failure.
When a back-to-origin request receives error responses from the current origin (such as 403, 404 and 503), the request will be automatically switch to another origin for service to lower back-to-origin failure ratio. If zero-delay is configured, the request will go back to another origin for service immediately; if not, another origin will be chosen until the next request.
Tips: If the origin cannot recognize duplicate requests, the same request may be processed repeatedlyThis policy will affect files within scope you definedenario of payment operation.

The following page is for configurations with many selections on the left menu, ‘Origin protection’ with ‘Automatic Origin Failover’ configurations included. You can add a rule also edit rules exist. After configured all columns in the pop window, click the OK button.
You need to confirm all information that you change, then choose Pre-deployment or Deploy Now for next step which will take 3 to 5 minutes.

• Introduction
This function is available to take effect when Automatic Origin Failover is enabled.
If both the configuration of Automatic Origin Failover and Zero-Delay are enabled, another origin will be chosen for service immediately once errors are responded to back-to-origin requests.
Turn on automatic selection of other sources, and enable zero-hour delay, and immediately follow the automatic selection of other source configuration rules to select other source stations for service; otherwise, other source stations will be selected for service at the next request.
